Hackathon on Saturday 10th May at STATION Berlin

On Saturday the 10th of May droidcon Berlin will host a hackathon from 10am until 6pm on site in parallel to the barcamp with this year's motto around "AR wearable apps".

droidcon sponsor Epson will run the "Moverio Hackathon Challenge"; the prize is a 3D projector (Epson EH-TW5200, Full HD 1080p, apt for cinema and gaming).

Thanks to its binocular see-through display, Moverio BT-200 is a natural platform for Augmented Reality. It offers a unique new platform for developers and brings with it the potential for you to break new ground and create pioneering apps to run on it.

Epson's Moverio BT-200 is an Android device (4.0.4 / API lvl 15) and developers can use the Standard Android SDK to build apps

Moverio merges the real world with the digital by rendering content onto your field of vision through a transparent display. We are looking for the next big ideas that make the most of the device’s unique capabilities to enhance reality.

We will be looking for the most creative solution that takes best advantage of the capabilities of the Moverio smart glasses: their hands-free, binocular field of view, and see-through nature.
